JUNIOR COUNSELOR

Boys & Girls, Entering Grades 11 & 12

Each summer the Camp Reed Junior Counselor program hosts approximately 120 high school students from around the region. JC's receive training and then volunteer 1-2 weeks of their summer to "give back" to camp and help create a life changing experience for campers. JC responsiblities include getting to know and serve campers, assisting in camp activities, as well as camp KP and clean-up!

As volunteer staff, JC’s should make all contacts and arrangements themselves, rather than having parents call or contact us. Thanks for recognizing this transition into leadership at Camp Reed.

JC's need to attend one of the pre-camp JC meetings and the on-site JC training and tour.

5/7     Wednesday  6-9pm @ Downtown YMCA
5/31   Saturday  1-4pm @ Downtown YMCA
6/19   Thursday  9:30am-12:30pm @ Camp Reed

*RSVP to Lunar and let him know which meeting you will be attending.

*Your volunteer paperwork is due at the meeting.

JC On-site Training & Tour:
6/19   Thursday  1-5pm @ Camp Reed

 

*JC’s who live out of town please contact Lunar to arrange for materials and training.

*Each week during the summer there is JC meeting Sunday @ 1pm in the lodge

*Fee:   $30 per assigned week (credited to store)
